Sea Breeze Fronts

Sea breeze fronts occur at the leading edge of a sea breeze. If there is a steep gradient in air temperature across the frontal boundary, the warmer, lighter air will converge and rise. If the rising air is sufficiently moist, cumulus clouds may form, and if the air is unstable, very narrow bands of thunderstorms may occur.
