Operator Errors 1. Most common is forgetting to close SW6, end of tape switch, prior to operating the recorder in any mode. 2. Improper setup - pressing the run switch (SW4), before depressing the record switch (SW5). 3. Improper recording procedures - using the wrong bias oscillator for the corresponding transport. This will disable the recorder from going safe. 4. Improper switch settings - the SG-1064 mode switch must be set to the proper position depending on equipment configuration (ie: generator-GEN, transport #1 on-line-IN1, transport #2 on-line-IN2.) 5. Misthreading the tape is another common operator error. The tape path should always be checked prior to depressing any mode switch. 6. Monitoring channel 5 on an RD-379A(V) or 10 on an RD-379A will continue to give alarms, due to the absence of a 60 HZ safe signal.
