Cirrocumulus Clouds

Cirrocumulus Clouds are cirriform clouds with vertical development. They appear as thin sheets of small white puffs. These are the clouds that create a "mackerel sky". Sometimes they are confused with altocumulus. However, they have smaller individual masses and do not cast  shadows on other elements. They are the least common cloud type.
